Meet Our Instructors

Jeanine
Jeanine is a passionate and lifelong student of many different styles of dance and yoga. Jeanine was an instructor for the renowned pole fitness company, S Factor, where she studied the art of pole dancing, but she began learning about the Dakini (sky dancer) as a yoga instructor. Inspired by the ancient texts that speak of the power of feminine energy, she created Dakini Sensual Movement in 2009, opening her first studio shortly after. Jeanine developed Dakini Sensual Movement as a way to share the empowerment of sensual movement and has helped scores of women celebrate their femininity in a fun, safe, and empowering way.

Amber
Amber started pole dancing in 2019; not even a pandemic could keep her away! She started teaching in 2020 and still loves teaching new and aspiring dancers through the early days of their pole experience. Amber knows firsthand how hard it can be to start something new and challenging; her resilience is hard-won through years of personal and professional development. That’s why she repeatedly focuses on basics done well and encourages everyone to keep coming back. You can find her in her favorite Foundations class or singing karaoke like the queen she is.

Erin
Boston native took her first pole class in 2020. Erin started as a Dakini member in 2022, and has been teaching since 2024. While pole tech is her go-to, she’s been rounding out her repetoir with spin pole, flow, and all the intentionality that goes along with fluid movement. Erin is passionate about introducing beginners to pole, and creating a body-positive space welcome to all.

Hilary
Hilary Friedman is a seasoned fitness professional and owner of Balanced Bodies Personal Training and Pilates Studio, LLC, a thriving business since 2014.

In 2024, Hilary became a licensed S Factor teacher, bringing this feminine movement practice to her community. Now a Managing Partner at Dakini Movement Studio, she and Jeanine Caporoso are launching the S Factor program at Dakini in July 2025.

Guided by the principles that actions speak louder than words and communication is key, Hilary continues to lead, teach, and inspire others toward greater health and wellness.

Desiree'
Desireé began her pole journey in 2013 at Dakini and began teaching in 2021. She has a background in ballet and lyrical dance and was a competitive cheerleader throughout high school, but her “pocket dance style” is best described as slow, sensual, and intentional. She placed 1st and 2nd at her first PSO Atlantic competitions and continues to evolve her style with a healthy dose of strength and conditioning in every class. Desireé is also a mama bear to her daughter, Rhythm. “Seeing the confidence build in my pole sisters is a reward like no other.

Sonia
Here is a perimenopausal, ADHD, adrenaline junky, mom of 2 who started Pole at 50 yo, after cancer resection of the foot. She had never danced before and wasn’t sure if she would walk again after foot surgery. She dances for both physical fitness and mental health benefits. She believes it’s never too late to work on you. It’s part of her game plan against the shifting body composition and bone loss that comes with aging. She is grateful that Pole has given her back some strength, coordination, and flexibility from her youth.

Ally
If you walk into the studio and hear dark, futuristic beats, it’s probably Ally warming up before class. Starting life as a gymnast and contemporary dancer, Ally is now a holistic cannabis industry professional by day, and feral freestyler by night.
She incorporates conditioning work into her classes, along with plenty of choreography to introduce new movement patterns to the body, but she doesn’t want students just following along. “I encourage all students to work their weird and embrace their primal self through movement.

Scottie
Scottie has always been a dancer, earning a minor in dance from Old Dominion University. In 2021, she decided to enter her BAD BISH era and start pole dancing. One year into her practice, she competed in the 2022 PSO and took the gold in Level Three Exotic! Becoming an instructor meant bringing her smile, sass, and storytelling skills to the other students; “All females need that confidence every day. That’s what I teach.” When she’s not teaching her students how to be confident go-getters both on and off the pole, Scottie enjoys sipping wine with her dogs and plants

Maren
Maren started her aerial and pole journey in 2018, training in multiple Los Angeles studios, and has performed with sling, lyra, and pole.
In 2023, shortly after moving to NJ, she joined Dakini and trained under Jeanine, Dakini's founder, to become a pole teacher. In 2024, she re-opened the aerial program at Dakini with beginner level hammock classes. She earned her XPERT Aerial Hammock certificate in 2025.
She loves teaching sling, heels, and strong sensual flows because these open the floor for students to unleash their inner goddess.

Michelle
Mom of two and married to “the most patient man on earth,” started her pole journey at 40 because she wanted to do something “crazy, different, and exciting!” Michelle loves teaching free dance and power moves, incorporating her love for all things dance – Bollywood, jazz, contemporary.
She says, “The community is super supportive, and the mirror-free environment is amazing! As a dancer, I thought I’d hate it. But it actually allows you a different experience: to dance for the joy of dancing and to dance for yourself.

Dana
Dana loves all forms of aerial sports and fitness — from the strength of pole to the grace of hammock and the artistry of Lyra. She’s been spinning and flying for nearly three years on pole and one year on both hammock and Lyra. Dana is a licensed aerial hammock instructor through the internationally accredited XPERT Fitness School, certified in all five forms of aerial hammock.
For Dana, aerial isn’t just a workout — it’s a form of creative expression and holistic wellness. She believes that through aerial movement, we discover strength, balance, and confidence that extend far beyond the fabric. Her favorite part of teaching is watching students grow — not only in skill, but in self-belief — one beautiful flight at a time.
